Love 'em or hate 'em. Various discussion forums are great places to find out info, get answers and just discuss whatever you have on your mind. However, sometimes... (well actually, all the time) some people on the forums I peruse annoy me to no end.
Why? Grammar and spelling for one. Shit like basic sentence structure of capitalizing the first letter of a sentence and ending it with punctuation. How friggin' hard is that. That shit is like first grade basics. When folks do this, to me, it's a reflection of their education (or rather, lack of) or just plain ignorance. Whatever it is, they sound like idiots on a public forum. They have no self respect for themselves and how they come across to the public on the innerwebs. Then there's the more complicated shit some people can't comprehend. We'll use some examples from mtbr.com which is the innerwebs forums I visit frequently. Using road vs rode, breaks vs brakes, disks vs discs and perhaps a few others that don't come to mind right now. If they did, I'd probably be frustrated to the point of getting pissed off. Yeah, it irks me. To no fuckin' end.
Then there are those idiots who start a thread in the wrong sub-forum. Like posting general questions in the 29er sub forum. The 29er forum is by far the most popular forum where these imbeciles post their asinine questions. Shit like, "Recommend me a glove, brake, pedal, etc for my 29er" Shit like that aren't "29er specific"! Jackasses! Every once in a while, you get those who start off their threads in the 29er sub forum saying shit like "I know this would be best in the drive train forum but I ride a 29er..." They're just blatantly saying "fuck the world, I'm gonna do some stoopid shit like this because I'm an artard". Gahh!!! Fuckin' annoying as hell.
